While AI is a fantastic tool for creating concepts and unique artwork, it does have limitations when it comes to producing files for large-format printing. Most AI-generated images are created at relatively low resolutions compared to what is needed for large-format graphics, wall murals, vehicle graphics, banners, and other oversized applications.
When an image is enlarged from just a few thousand pixels to several feet wide, the loss of detail can become much more noticeable. This may result in soft edges, blurry textures, pixelation, loss of fine detail, or visible AI-generated artifacts that can affect the overall quality of the finished product.
AI-generated artwork can also contain issues that may not be obvious when viewing the image on a computer or phone, including distorted details, incorrect text or lettering, unusual patterns, transparency issues, inconsistent colors, or other unintended elements.
Our goal is to ensure that every finished graphic looks sharp, professional, and as close as possible to the intended design. That's why we review submitted artwork and may recommend additional resolution enhancement, image correction, vectorization, rebuilding, or other pre-production services when necessary.
Please understand that Fineline Graphics cannot guarantee the quality or accuracy of AI-generated artwork supplied by the customer. By approving an AI-generated file for production, the customer accepts responsibility for the content, resolution, details, colors, dimensions, and overall appearance of the submitted artwork.
We'd rather address potential limitations before production than have the final print fall short of expectations.
